Instructions:

With 6.00 MM needles cast on 3 sts
1 rst row : Inc st in first st.Knit to end of row.
Repeat 1 st row to 12 sts on needle.
Knit 8 inches ( 20 cm) in Garter st.( plain knitting every row)
Knit 6 sts
Knit on these 6 sts for 2 inches.
Break yarn and leave these sts on a spare needle.
Knit the other 6 sts for 2 inches.
Join and knit the 12 sts for 38 inches . ( 96 cm)
Next row: K1 K2 tag.knit to end of row.
Repeat last row to 3 sts on needle.
